The National Contact Point for Intellectual Property and Knowledge Valorisation (NCP-IP) is the inter-ministerial platform that embeds European agendas for knowledge valorisation within Austria. Valorisation views the transfer of knowledge and technologies to society as an open and broad process: all stakeholders in the research and innovation ecosystem are involved, and all types of intellectual assets count—extending far beyond a narrow understanding of technology and intellectual property rights. Specifically, in addition to information and networking events, we offer a regularly updated database of model contracts (the IP Agreement Guide), an Open Innovation Toolbox for fair collaborations, and formats such as newsletters and podcasts. Current areas of focus include women in the IP sector, standardisation, industry-research collaborations, and the management of intellectual assets.
